short update
hey all, i’ve been a bit busy since i got back to china. i’m signed up in full time courses, and trying to organize some extra time with my chinese friends where they can hopefully critique my speaking abilities in exchange for me helping them with english. Right now i’m not totally convinced that the teaching strategies used in my courses are going to be that effective, but with some one-on-one time with native speakers i think i can make some good progress.
I think another thing i’m going to try soon is to make contact with a local bird-watching club. i’ve heard it exists, but i haven’t yet found it. The weather is much more tolerable now, and many more birds have returned to campus now that it’s no longer 38C every day. If i can find some more native speakers that i have something in common with, then it should be both fun and helpful.
