We were pleasantly surprised tonight when we discovered that there’s a little mexican restaurant just minutes away from Zhejiang University’s Yuquan campus (浙江大å¦çŽ‰æ³‰æ ¡åŒº). It’s called Pancho’s Mexican Restaurant, or 墨西哥é¤åŽ… (mo4 xi1 ge1 can1 ting1 = mexican restaurant) in chinese. The portions were slightly smaller than what i’d expect from a mexican restaurant [...]

I just heard about the BCFO’s new position they adopted, which is that economic growth is in fundamental opposition to biodiversity conservation. Since capitalism necessarily requires economic growth, this is in effect a stance against capitalism. They specify the alternative as a “steady state economy”, but don’t say anything further than that. [...]
