Joey Only & Anne Feeney on June 26th at 9pm
Hey all. Just thought i’d put the word out that my friend Joey Only is performing with Anne Feeney at the Railway Club here in Vancouver this coming monday (june 26th, 2006) at 9pm. Joey plays some great radical folk, some of it in a similar style to Johnny Cash. Anne Feeney is a well-known labour folk singer with some great songs too. I’ve got a meeting beforehand, so i’ll probably show up a little late at 10pm, but it should be great fun. For those who aren’t familiar with it, the Railway Club is on Seymour & Dunsmuir in downtown Vancouver, on the 2nd floor above a 7-11. Joey’s soon touring BC and Alberta, so don’t miss the chance to see him play :)

I came quite close to seeing this performance. I was at Marine Mammal Rescue (very end of Main St.) on June 26 for a volunteer training session. It was supposed to end at 8:00 pm, but ended early. Did not know where else to go in the meantime, so I drove over & checked the Railway Club out. Was too hot & tired to search for a place to park (stupid car again!), so I did not actually go in. Still it would have been a different activity for me and I bet it was great. Looking forward to hopefully hearing about it!
