quick update
Hey all. sorry about the slowness of updates lately. I’ve been particularly stressed with the whole roommate/landlord thing, and i haven’t been writing as much as i’d like to. just trying to keep my head above water.
I hope the critical mass bike ride goes well today. i won’t be able to make it because i’m helping a friend move, but i’ll make an attempt to get down to the Anza Club for the spartacus fundraiser. For those who don’t know, Spartacus Books was an independant non-profit bookstore on hastings near cambie, and was a great source of radical books. it burned down earlier this year in a fire that also destroyed the famous Blunt Brothers marijuana store. Supposedly the fire was started in the dumpster behind the building, so there’s some speculation that it was politically motivated. Hopefully the Spartacus collective can raise enough money to get things started again, because they provided a valuable space for lesser known books and for movie nights, etc.
Anyway, i’ve got several articles in the pipe. i’m trying to spend some decent time on writing things instead of devolving to only quick journal entry things….although i’m still doing quick journal things too. :)
